Feedback from students who have taken this class taught by
... Amazing opportunity to have a deep introduction to the principles, body mechanics, and ways of being of Watsu.
Ahara is truly a master instructor and Trudy was lovely in her instructor role, bringing skillful group management and water knowledge.
... Great intro to watsu. It is rigorous being that the days are 10 hours long and approx 6 hours each day are In the pool, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.
... This is a wonderful therapy and has a number of possibilities for use. It is easy on the body and relaxing for the receiver.
... It’s a fabulous start down a wondrous path of your water journey.
If after this class, you’re not feeling the call to the Water Family, you will still appreciate what you learned and experienced in the water (and on land), both personally & technique-wise.
... There is alot to learn in the first series (Watsu 1 ). Let yourself have a beginners mind and it will come. For me I couldn't think myself through it, I had
to feel it. The transitions from one move to another is the most challenging part.
... Do it!!! Your life will change, your work on land will be even better and fluid like. If you want to go to the highest level of training in the Healing Arts, this is what you want to train in. It is absolutely gorgeous. You will be able to help so many people in other ways than in just land work. Your expanding on so many different levels and nothing seems to be impossible.
... Ahara Vatter is an excellent teacher. She knows WATSU very well, and she's great with people. She really cares about helping her students understand and perform WATSU well.
... Learning occurs even when you don't think it's happening. It felt like the water was transmitting the information. It was a linear event, curvy, watery and so gentle.
... It's worth every penny, have fun and my instructor was great.
... It was truly life-changing and much tougher than I expected. I loved every minute of it.
... The class was very fine. Well Taught, students were a delight, time was precious, learned a lot, easy to follow. Take it and it will likely change your life.
... I came into my Watsu 1 class not ever having received a Watsu session. Actually, in my area (Dallas/Ft. Worth) I couldn't find a practitioner. However, I had read about Watsu for years and wanted to take the course after completing my massage therapy work. After a long search, I found Kandis Hill who happens to be in my home state (Texas) and realized she was offering the course in October 2012 in Texas. I immediately signed up and came with high expectations of myself to learn this beautiful modality I had read so much about. I also decided not to review any videos of what Watsu was really about. I wanted to go into this program with a clean slate. Well, to my amazement it was more than I could have ever dreamed or imagined. It was beautiful, exhausting, amazing, moving, spiritual, emotional and physical. I'm not sure I had never used my entire being so much in one week as I did for this course. Kandis and Ahara are truly amazing instructors; gentle, kind, generous, loving, caring and understanding - all on various levels. My emotins were all over the chart the entire week. I left after 7 days of intensive training, completely drained (my head felt like it was floating) but ready to give sessions as a Student of Watsu and preparing myself for Watsu 2 which I hope they will be offering in early 2013. Water is so moving and to offer my clients this option is what I've looked to for years. Thank you Kandis and Ahara for offering these courses in Texas.
... By all means, DO IT! Ahara was the best teacher imaginable!
... The course is a great introductory exploration into the dynamics of working with someone in the water.
... Ahara did a great job helping each of us at the speed we were able toprogress. Great class!
... Awesome class! Learned how water can stretch, and lengthen. The water does all the work if you let it.
Ahara is an amazing and patient instructor.
