Learn how the getting lighter of the one in your arms each time they breathe in, engages your own breathing from a deep level, and establishes the rhythm of the moves and stretches to come. Learn how floating someone at your heart draws you into a continuum, a moving as water, and a profound stillness. Learn the moves that open every Watsu session around the world. Done on both sides and complete in itself, this unconditional bodywork can be returned to again and again without ever exhausting its potential.
Learn long gracefully flowing transitions into and out of Watsu's major positions. Learn about your own body mechanics - how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in the water.
The Transition Flow follows Basic Watsu and completes Watsu 1. Learn to expand the Basic form with long gracefully flowing transitions into and out of Watsu's major positions. Learn to adapt this to people of all sizes, shapes and dispositions. Learn about your own body mechanics - how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in the water.
Feedback from students who have taken this class taught by
Georges Amir Kunzler:
... Amir is a wonderful teacher. He address a variety of techniques that help bring Watsu 1 into your body and mind in easy to integrate and helpful ways. His approach focuses on mechanics and head support, the essential foundations of this work, and it has helped me fine tune my awareness of different bodies and how they are effected by this modality. I love Amirs presence, humor, and clear evaluation in class as it was never boring or frustrating.
... it is a wonderful course with a lot of loving and caring for each other
... It was a geat moment of pleasure.
we lurned in harmony.
... If you are looking for a training with details, precision and built step by step, this one is for you. The instructors are always available to repeat and give extra explanations about a mouvement.
They emphasize the deep relationship between the breathe (yours and the receiver) and the movement.
Moreover, they create a great training environnment with meetings with questions and mouvements repetition on land.
The manual is full of photos and desciptions of each mouvement. Great to keep you on track when you are alone doing a watsu session to someone else.
... If you likes water and human contact you will love watsu for sure ! This is a great experience especially if you work in physiotherapy or well being.
... I would tell him it's a great experience, to prepare to be one week in an other dimension, a kind of "retreat" from the earth . It's a great tool for sensory integration technics, it's deeply related with mindfullness, knowledge of oneself to give to an other person. Through the water we do touch deep levels of relaxation and of our history...
To me it was a great way to be re-connected to myself....
It also a "learning", that ask time to review in the evening, out of the class...
... Go for it, it is such a deep experience
... Wonderful, waterful !!!! A lovely week, spend with gently students and a powerful teacher, Georges Amir Kunzler : the place is incredible, surrounding by the Swiss Mountains, under a hot sunshine .
... Very good trainer ! Wonderfull experience. Nice atmosphere/energy in the pool. Lot's of fun, joy. I enjoyed his playfullness. I'd like to continu with Georges. No stress at all in the water. What you would expect from a training in watsu. Respectfull towards the students. In a relaxing tempo we did the whole program, amazing ! I enjoyed also the fysical exercises on land, kind of tai chi exercises to practice the watsu movements on land.
