Mary Seamster

Mary, in the late 70's, began her life long exploration of the correlation between mind, body and spirit. In her Water classes she incorporates her years of study in: martial arts, massage, energetic healing, Hakomi practice, group dynamics, and in the last 10 years, Pre and Perinatal Psychology. She has completed a two year land based Prenatal Training with Ray Castellino DC well as David Sawyer’s water based Integrative Aquatic Therapy. Mary's life ambition is to never stop learning; she finished her two year study of Biodynamic Cranial Sacral with Anna and John Chitty. She has been teaching Watsu® these last 9 years in private settings as well as in hospitals and PT pools. Students comment on her: passion for the work, attention to detail, body mechanics, warmth and sense of humor. When you come to her class expect plenty of personal attention.

Feedback from students who have taken this class taught by Mary Seamster:

10/01/2013 ... This was an outstanding class. Wendy Ward did an extraordinary job teaching us a solid foundation in Shiatsu as well as practical tools we can use and incorporate into our own work. Wendy is hilarious and she's a very skilled teacher. Mary Seamster did a beautiful job in the pool gently helping everyone explore and learn ways to use our new knowledge to take our Watsu sessions to another level of even greater sensitivity. I highly recommend this class.
09/23/2013 ... Definitely take it! Mary and Wendy provide the best learning in the most supportive environment possible. Both possess the rare combination of being experts in their respective fields as well as truly gifted and talented teachers.
09/22/2013 ... This is the most astonishing class yet. Mary and Wendy work together to present the material, each in her own style. Both are so tuned into all the mix of abilities of all students. Everyone gets personal attention. The handouts were most helpful. The best part is being with these two very special women. Thank you Mary and Wendy.
09/21/2013 ... It was helpful to integrate what is being taught in Watsu I and II. It brought a depth to what I'd learned in those classes. Extremely beneficial.
The watsu modality makes much more sense now.
06/17/2013 ... Please take the time to go learn and enjoy Mary's pool and enjoy the combo training,I would recommend this to everyone!! Thank you for a great class!!
06/17/2013 ... I took this course as an auditor, a second time, because it was so much fun and interesting the first time! Specifically, I wanted to deepen my knowledge about 5 Element Theory and Meridians, while reviewing and practicing my Shiatsu and Watsu techniques. Taking the course again was everything I had hoped for. Mary and Wendy continue to be a dynamic, professional team. Their humor and knowledge makes learning at White Stone a fabulous and worthwhile experience!
