The following modules can be attended individually:
Basic Watsu ... 09/15/2018-01/03/2015 ... $500...

Learn how the getting lighter of the one in your arms each time they breathe in, engages your own breathing from a deep level, and establishes the rhythm of the moves and stretches to come. Learn how floating someone at your heart draws you into a continuum, a moving as water, and a profound stillness. Learn the moves that open every Watsu session around the world. Done on both sides and complete in itself, this unconditional bodywork can be returned to again and again without ever exhausting its potential.

Learn long gracefully flowing transitions into and out of Watsu's major positions. Learn about your own body mechanics - how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in the water.

The Transition Flow follows Basic Watsu and completes Watsu 1. Learn to expand the Basic form with long gracefully flowing transitions into and out of Watsu's major positions. Learn to adapt this to people of all sizes, shapes and dispositions. Learn about your own body mechanics - how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in the water.

Feedback from students who have taken this class taught by Mary Theri Thomas:

09/14/2016 ... Body mechanics are the number one skill that will keep any of us working. Theri's teaching skills are steeped in learning proper body mechanics to keep both ourselves and the body in our arms safe.
04/05/2016 ... In WATSU there is a practioner and a receiver. There instructs from the standpoint of the pracionioner learning to move in the water never losing awareness of the receiver and what they need. This is much more difficult than simply moving a body around in the water, but if u succeed u will be a far better practioner.
04/03/2014 ... I went to the course because of the curiosity and fell in love to watsu. It's amazing thing for relaxing and reconnecting to your self.
07/30/2013 ... Make it!
08/23/2012 ... Terri is the best in the business. Berry tough on body mechanics but is only in it for tu good of all.
05/03/2012 ... IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE , I NOW UNDERSTAND WATSU IS A HEALLING EXPERIENCE IN BOUTH WAYS , TO THE ONE WHO RECEIVES AND THE ONE WHO IS GIVING. I LEARN FROM THERY THE RESPONSABILITY TO ALSO TAKE CARE OF MY OWN BODY, THE BEST POSITIONS NOT ONLY FOR PATIENS BODY BUT MINE TO, EVEN LITLE DETAILS ARE VERY IMPORTANT, SHE TAKES THIS PERSONALLY AND I REALLY APRECIATE , MAKES YOU CONCIOUS IN EVERY MOMENT ABOUT YOUR FACE, YOUR HANDS , YOUR LEGS , AND PATIENS FACE , LEGS , EARS , ETC..... AND NOW !!! YOU CAN DANCE WITH A BEAUTIFUL RITHM, AND FLOW GRACEFULLY IN THE HEALLING WATER .
08/31/2011 ... Officially, there is no prerequisite for this course, but you do need to prepare yourself for a physical effort. I strongly recommend to take some Pilates or Yoga lessons or any other physical fitness system that will allow you to strengthen your body and get to know it better.
Also, bear in mind that you will be expected to learn a lot in short time, for example, understand the connection between the giver and the receiver, which is a process that takes time. Give yourself that time.

Theri is an extremely experienced instructor whose vast knowledge and excellent teaching skills are felt throughout the course, and will allow you to make the most out of this course.

08/25/2008 ... This was such a womderful course and studying with Theri is so valuable for learning correct body mechanics. 08/28/2005 ... Theri is an amazingly thorough teacher who is incredible at teaching students the correct posture and movements from the very beginning of their training, utilizing step by step methods to help a student understand the body positioning, movements and their outcome. I thoroughly suggest Theri for anyone beginning the Watsu lifestyle, and I thoroughly recommend Theri for everyone in that she is patient and will remain with you as you repeat the steps over and over again until you get it.
