Learn how the getting lighter of the one in your arms each time they breathe in, engages your own breathing from a deep level, and establishes the rhythm of the moves and stretches to come. Learn how floating someone at your heart draws you into a continuum, a moving as water, and a profound stillness. Learn the moves that open every Watsu session around the world. Done on both sides and complete in itself, this unconditional bodywork can be returned to again and again without ever exhausting its potential.

Learn long gracefully flowing transitions into and out of Watsu's major positions. Learn about your own body mechanics - how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in the water.

The Transition Flow follows Basic Watsu and completes Watsu 1. Learn to expand the Basic form with long gracefully flowing transitions into and out of Watsu's major positions. Learn to adapt this to people of all sizes, shapes and dispositions. Learn about your own body mechanics - how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in the water.

Feedback from students who have taken this class taught by Basia Szpak-Borst:

06/08/2017 ... I learned a few great lifelessons during watsu 1 which made me grow as a person and in my professional development as a midwife to be. For example I learned that watsu is about so much more than the steps and moving in the water. I learned how to approach and touch someone properly. Basia is such a great teacher!
11/01/2016 ... I enjoy the time at course. We have worked on the theory and practise as well.
04/17/2014 ... lovely
08/30/2012 ... Very good course, taught in a relaxed manner. Love the instructor!

01/08/2012 ... A very in depth introduction on how to work with clients in the water and also moving your own body in water. Enables you to build confidence and develop new skills that are transferable to other therapies. The beginning of a new journey into Watsu.
01/08/2012 ... Very intensive, powerful course. Needs commitment and physical/mental strength. Many hours each day in the water, so be prepared for this. Also practice in own time needed to remember the movements in water.
08/21/2010 ... Definitely worth to take part in Watsu course, however need to prepare yourself for intensive training, a lot of informations, techniques, positions.
Read a bit more about Watsu before, what is the main reason of doing it, why is it in water etc.It will benefit during sessions to understand how to move in a water and how to use water in a watsu treatment.
It is realy great fun as well to be a therapist.Give a treatment to someone is a massive private pleasure.
06/22/2010 ... That the course was amazing. That I find watsu during the course and even more and more as I practice it to be much more then just a type of massage. I enjoy it as one good way to center and be present. Also practicing this while connecting with another person is a great gift for me. I feel very greatful experiencing this.
05/31/2010 ... TAKE IT!!!! It's a very rewarding and liberating experience. No matter if you practice in the future or decide its not for you, you will come out of the course with new insight and openess.
09/04/2009 ... I loved taking this class. Basia is an incredible instructor, resourceful, intuitive and timely - she makes the best of every opportunity. And, although I felt I could not stand to be in the water any longer by the end of that week; Now, I cannot wait to get into the water. There is an inner thirst/longing to be "in that space" again. Thank you.

10/28/2006 ... Watsu 1 was a wonderful experience. I feel truly grateful to have participated in the first Watsu in South Africa. It had a profound effect on me. I really received real joy. The group was very small and we received alot of personal attention. We had a lot of laughs. Basia was terrific in her instruction. She is a centered dynamic women. Michael Moss was extremely helpful and I found his input valuable. His passion and compassion was infectious. Maria Gerandoulis was wonderful and offered alot of support. I look forward to supporting her in her efforts to create awarness of Watsu in South Africa. She has been a guiding light for Watsu and every session I have received from her has left me feeling calm, completly relaxed and joyous. So thanks guys - was awesome meeting you all!
