Program

Requirements to become a Watsu practitioner for:

Licensed Professionals with more than 500 hours of previous learning process would become registered Watsu practitioners, and may add to their therapy Watsu upon completing the following criterias:

• Watsu 1 and 2 and 3 (150 hours) and audit or participate in other WABA registered class of a minimum of (50 hours) as per indications given by the trainer
• Log 40 practice sessions, minimum20 given to a Watsu student or practitioner
• Demonstrate competency of Watsu 2
• To receive at least 10 sessions from certified professionals, as suggested maximum 3 given by the same person
• To give a feeling session hands on experience
Licensed Professionals eligible for this program will be listed later.

Licensed to touch with less than 500 hours of previous learning process would need to fulfill the following criterias to become Registered Watsu practitioners:

• Watsu 1 and 2 and 3 (150 hours) and audit or participate in other WABA registered class of a minimum of (150 hours) as per indications given by the trainer
• Log 40 practice sessions, minimum20 given to a Watsu student or practitioner
• Demonstrate competency of Watsu 2
• To receive at least 10 sessions from certified professionals, as suggested maximum 3 given by the same person
• To give a feeling session hands on experience
• To learn additional 100 hours of anatomy and or physiotherapy
• To learn additional 100 hours shiatsu and or tantsu class
Requirements to become a Watsu Provider
Watsu® provider is a program to become fully authorized Watsu® practitioners enabling a provider to immediately start advertising their modalities in Hungary to include Watsu® while completing the additional requirements to be listed as Watsu® practitioners.

Watsu Providers are licensed to list their services in Hungary only, and are not listed on the registry as Watsu® practitioners until all the requirements to become listed have been fulfilled. They have to commit themselves with a Spa or with the Hungarian Watsu Association under the umbrella of the standard WABA Provider agreement, and practice only on this Spa or in locations (more allowed) agreed by the Hungarian Watsu Association.

Students may complete their additional requirements to be listed as practitioners either at training in Hungary or elsewhere.

Once, the Watsu® provider has completed the other requirements to become listed as Watsu® practitioners they may be listed as Watsu Practitioners. A Watsu® provider is not listed on the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association site under the search engine for Watsu practitioners until their particular requirements to be so listed are fulfilled.
(NB. Fees to be listed as Provider are 75 USD for 3 years)

• Demonstrate competency of Watsu 2
• To receive at least 5 sessions from certified professionals, as suggested maximum 3 given by the same person
• To give a feeling session hands on experience
Licensed to touch with less than 500 hours of previous learning process would need to fulfill the following criterias to become Watsu Providers:
• Watsu 1 and 2 (100 hours) and audit or participate in another WABA registered class of a minimum of (50 hours) as per indications given by the trainer
• Log 40 practice sessions, minimum20 given to a Watsu student or practitioner
• Demonstrate competency of Watsu 2
• To receive at least 5 sessions from certified professionals, as suggested maximum 3 given by the same person
• To give a feeling session hands on
• To learn additional 50 hours of anatomy and or physiotherapy
• To learn additional 50 hours shiatsu and or tantsu class

Licensed to touch with less than 180 hours of previous learning process, that apply to be Watsu Provider could be invited by the Hungarian Association to add some more hours of classes of a learning program to the above learning process, in according to the personal advice of a Quality Supervision Committee of the Hungarian Association. The Quality Supervision Committee is elected by the members of Watsu Hungarian Association.

Only licensed professionals as either Watsu® Providers or Watsu® Practitioners are utilized in conjunction with their aquatic bodywork modalities employing the term Watsu®.

The Provider correctly lists the term Watsu® capitalized and with the appropriate trademark symbol, ®, on all literature and web pages, including individually cached pages.

The Watsu ® Provider has an additional agreement with Waba and Watsu Hungary, stating that they will fulfill their regular Watsu® practitioner’s requirements as per Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association within 3 years after completing the Provider requirements.

To be listed as a Watsu® practitioner, the individual must pay the required fees to WABA, $25.00 per year, $50.00 for the registration of first two years.

Once a Provider has graded to Watsu® practitioner, there is a requirement of 50 hours of WABA approved electives every three years to remain listed with WABA.
